Product management is an extremely complex and interdisciplinary process, usually performed for things of no obvious social utility. And that\u2019s when you\u2019re lucky. If you\u2019re not, you might end up like Thomas Midgley Jr<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 and his leaded gasoline. Yikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To point out that risk, make fun of serious talking heads claiming PM is \u201can art\u201d and because I\u2019m in need of organizing my knowledge and improving writing skills I decided to start this blog. I just want to show the path I\u2019m taking \u2013 which is complicated yet satisfying. I don\u2019t claim it is \u201cthe path\u201d nor that it is optimal. It\u2019s more like a travel blog \u2013 but instead of slides and adventures I will be writing about mind numbing and painfully tedious processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t expect also too much. Like Anything Else short is LAE \u2013 and LAE is almost like lame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think that what David Dobel said to Jerry in Anything Else, would be a perfect summary, mission statement and testament to my approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>It\u2019s funny. I was once in a cab\u2026 this was years ago.<\/em><\/strong>
And I was pouring my heart out to the driver about all the stuff you were prattling on about\u2026<\/em><\/strong>
life, death, the empty universe,<\/em><\/strong>
the meaning of existence,<\/em><\/strong>
human suffering.<\/em><\/strong>
And the cab driver said to me:<\/em><\/strong>
